Makayla is a mental health counselor with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University. She works with adults navigating a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, and borderline personality disorder (BPD).
Makayla’s approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and STAIR Narrative Therapy to support clients in building insight, emotional regulation, and meaningful personal growth. Makayla believes in meeting clients where they are and helping them reconnect with their strengths, values, and sense of agency even in the face of pain or uncertainty.
